David Schein, is a noted solo performer who has performed “Out Comes Butch” to much acclaim and some controversy. “Out Comes Butch,” came into being as one of a series of improvisations that Schein originally performed in Berkeley, CA. Schein toured “Butch” to London and Glasgow with Whoopi Goldberg and also to Amsterdam, Calgary, New York City and many other venues in the US, Canada and Europe “Out Comes Butch” was published in West Coast Plays and has been produced by various theaters in the USA with performers other than Schein, including the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, and by the Voodoo Lounge in New Orleans and The Box Theatre in Santa Fe, at Theater in Pumpenhaus in Germany and L’Etalier de la Main d’Or in Paris France.,
